Our Miqlat potlucks
The Miqlat family shares quite a lot of fun moments. Our work is demanding, tough and brain stroming, but we make a conscious effort to make time to have fun, relax, share, and encourage. We cannot wffort a very expensive outing, so we share our food and lives through potlucks. This is one such moment when we not only enjoy eating but also enjoy fellowshipping together.

Planned Dimapur Coffee Cafe
One of the biggest challenges that Miqlat-Nagaland ministry is facing is what do we offer to these women as an alternative to come out of the trade??? Time and again we have been bombarded with this question even from the clients that comes to the office to receive counseling and free medication. What do you have to give to support us apart from free medication and counseling? At the moment we have a tailoring project but that also we cannot employ more than three women at a time since we have only three sewing machines, so what are we suppose to let the other women do??? This is a big big issue, and we have been praying about it. We just don’t want them to do something for the sake of doing. If we can offer them a job, we want them to do something that is innovative and something that they feel dignified about. Many things come to mind and also many suggestions, but not all can be considered. Nagaland is a land blessed with God’s rich resources, yet it has not many places to relax and share and talk about these blessings. Also, the most refreshing and comfortable place for a weary heart, a weary traveler, and a tired mind and body is a coffee shop, but sadly we have very few of these. Setting up a Dimapur coffee cafe not only provides employment opportunities to these broken women in our society, but also contributes to our society's welfare. I believe that many much good will come out of it. Not only that, it will create a good setting for these women to build up confidence, meet and interact with new people each day, and also to get more opportunities to expose, explore, and live a dignified life. So very prayerfully, Miqlat-Nagaland has come up with this Dimapur coffee cafe project we hope to implement in the near future.
